There are seven original dwarven lords, called the Fathers. Each is a Maker. This is the highest accolade a dwarf can have, for they each created an artifact that colors and guides the thoughts and deeds of the clans that sprang from the unions with the First Matriarch.
Guasgoinin, The Winged Heaum, made by Bodruith
A Great Helm that is of one smooth finished piece of glassy metal. The front is a bearded face with very small eye slots and breathholes. It catches the light in a rainbow of metallic colors. It confers flight.
Angrauko, Iron Power, made by Thangadrim
A crow's beak that can be a small one-handed weapon or enlarge to a two-handed pole axe.
Angrod, Iron Champion or Hammer of Wrath, made by Berenhir
A simple appearing iron blacksmith's hammer that is hafted with dragon bone.
Wingilot, Moving Craft, made by Noldi
A knarr of some seventy feet long, ornately carved and decorated. It will hold a hundred dwarves easily, and will sail in any seas or upon land at up to the speed of a galloping horse. The craft provides provisions for whatever number of folk on board three times a day, and is impervious to weather. Upon a command word, it will fold up into a small pocket dimension shaped like a model of itself.
Khelazarok, The Rainbow Roof, made by Dairon
The most beautiful place in any dwarves imagination, the great arched grotto wherein the king/high chieftain resides in the dwarven highlands. Every kind of metal, every jewel, every kind of stone is carved and wrought into the manifold forms of fish, animal, human, humanoid, demi human, magical, planar, literally any animated creature that ever existed -- Gods included. The cavern is vast and wonderful -- shifting lights and shadows crawl around the roof constantly. Those who dwell under it require neither meat nor drink, can converse freely despite linguistic differences, and the master of the halls can raise the dead once per month.
Drathodaurus, Dragonslayer Spear, made by Indrafang
A spear to rival the finest weapons, it is finely balanced and is always ready. It is enchanted with spells of puissance and seeking. The shaft is of mallorn and the head is of mithril and orichalcum. It ignores armor.
Nauglarin, The Necklace, made by Nauglath
A necklace which enhances the charisma and leadership of any wearer. Always fits perfectly and blends with whatever clothes or armors are also worn. The necklace appears to be constructed of numerous precious gems and metals. One gem per day can be plucked from the dangling pieces (diadems?) which will randomly regenerate within 24 hours.
