Black Sue was persuaded to write this herbal by Nimue, an alchemist (and Black Sue's sometime sweetheart) in Landsrue Town. Although the Mithrandic Church in years past has not encouraged such works, the Church's almost total loss of healing magic has created a great need for such knowledge. Black Sue, being illiterate, dictated the book to Nimue. Nimue added some of his own findings, and cleaned up the language considerably. He paid a scribe to make copies for himself and Sue, and one extra. This last was bought by the Church, which has not forgotten Sue's and Nimue's efforts on their behalf during the zombie attack, for a considerable sum.
