Sbazzario (real name Tilliam) was a hobbit thief, younger brother to Gillian Clay. This letter was written soon after Ryde first rediscovered Belegost.
Unfortunately, no one now remembers what Gonherel's Bain (sic) is/was.
Dear Thrifmir, Karl, Ricardo, Oestend, and Pfred (and Chinbane) --
I hope this letter finds you all well. Ryde and I had a spot of trouble with a dragon, but my cousin Rufus hit it on the head and it went away. Unfortunately, an earth elemental knocked a big hole in my parlour wall, which was a bother, but the dwarves have fixed it pretty well. There was a bright side to the matter though. We found some ancient jewels that once belonged to the Dwarven Kings, which was a nice concidence because Ryde is a dwarf. So we gave the jewels back to the king and he gave us all sorts of lovely presents. Then we all went up to the dwarf highlands to see Ryde's new holdings that the dwarf king gave him. They have eight varieties of mushrooms here so I think that Gilly (my sister) will be happy. Ryde would like you to come up to visit him here and see his new home and meet his family and his baby son, Bureff. He has another son, Hearca. They are twins. Hearca has been fostered out to the king. My wife and my little daughter, Laurel, are here as well. There's an interesting matter we'd like your opinion on. Here's a map to where we are.
