Food varies wildly, not recommended after dark, but very cheap soup and turnip.
The Racing Pigeon
Dyers Close, Overlook
Specialising in ginger and honey dishes in a well run kitchen. Some boarding done here, slightly expensive but also pretty nice.

Formerly one of the better gourmet houses which is still steep but not as good as it was before, rice dishes and mutton mainly.
The Medallions
Wappers St, the Armorers
Very small, and very crowded nights, good tea waters and various meat pies. Noisy place.

Haymarket St
A favorite haunt of "journeymen" and "adventurers". Steep prices and inflated opinions abound, interesting to watch though.

Teamsters Close, the Armorers
Mostly charcoaled meats and fish, kind of seedy-looking, but good food. Small beers.

Possibly the best or second best public house, large, many rooms, two(!) public rooms and two kitchens. Numerous egg dishes.
