These maps were originally drawn by Rimli (date unknown), and found in King Thangadrim's chambers at the time of the rediscovery of Belegost. Copies were made by Alain, with Ryde's permission, during the winter of 996-997. Their accuracy is not guaranteed. Note that dwarvish maps are aligned south-to-north instead of north-to-south.
In the close-up view of this map, the "B" in the lower left quadrant represents Belegost. To the left of center is the Iron Tower. It is not known if this structure exists today.
One of the gates into Belegost is shown here. This gate was not re-discovered until the water level in the river was lowered by the addition of an upstream dam.Not reproduced on this map is the notation "Rimli penned me".
