To the Abbess Bernadette Ellyryn
Of the Coventry House of Sagron, Dun Myrdwyn, Wundt
In Landshrue upon the occasion of the Convocation

Into your hands I have asked these gentlefolk to deliver what I pray will be the tools of liberation and justice. On behalf of what service I have provided in the past, and on behalf of my brother whom you care for, I beg that you accept the responsibility of them. Please use your wisdom and dispense the following commision to those Captains and Companies whom you deem of clear purpose.

100 staves of most remarkable and unique material [dragonbone bowstaves] have been provided and are being delivered to Kesh-Necht, each by its own of a value that would far outmatch the expected purse that unfortunately pays for most mercenary loyalties. I myself carry one of the staves, and use it in service to a Church Knight of Mithras, one Alain deGrocie, whom I have witnessed perform miracles in service to the Light. He in his turn also serves Lanshrue, and allies himself on the side of the Prince by right. In that manner I thereby serve the Prince of Wundt.

It is to this purpose I have sent word to those companies with men of the most honesty, integrity and wit to achieve your audience and ask that you equip each Captain with a score of staves on behalf of their fellow countrymen, the Sagronian Order, and the Light of Mithras. Please accept the courteous escort provided to arrive at the household of Roger Krinth, who will be able to provide witness and account of recent miraculous events in Kesh-Necht, in safety and urgent conveyance.

Our cause is right, and it is seeming that we strive to liberate the souls of humans, dwarves, and all free people from those agents who would shroud the land in darkness. By your grace and prayers may we also find opportunity to liberate Lanshrue on behalf of the Prince so that he may reside rightfully in his seat there. May Mithras in his mercy allow us to prevail against Lord Percy Fraubard and his dominion over the Seal of the King.

Yours ever in heart and mind,

Matthew Grimes of Dun Llyryn
